On Thanksgiving night, as holiday revelers take their place in line at the local Wal-Mart to stock up on holiday bargains, I'll be broadcasting the second annual Christmas Shopping Eve show from 8-10PM on WMFO. If you're not in the Medford, Massachusetts area, you can can catch the show via the streaming audio on WMFO's site, or go to iTunes/Radio/Public and look for WMFO. Fans of industrial musicals and product songs will hear everything from "My Bathroom Is a Private Kind of Place" to "The Saturday Night Suit."
I'll post a link to the show here on Friday.
Also this weekend, the second installment of Hear It Wow will be presented. Among the items on the next show will be a previously unknown industrial musical created by the advertising department at Life magazine in 1963. We're a little behind in working out the Thanksgiving weekend schedule at WMFO, but once I know the time, I'll post it here. I'm hoping to run the show immediately preceding my regular time slot, to provide a cornucopia of outsider goodness for your Thanksgiving feasting.

Coming soon...
Labels: Show News 0 commentsA new installment of Hear It Wow will be presented on WMFO during the week of November 19. I'm still waiting to get an exact time. Fans of the unusual can look forward to conversations about architecture, former presidents, and disco Christmas carols. I'm hoping to present a four-hour block of this madness.
On a more definite note, lovers of Industrial Musical and advertising songs can tune in to Hbee Inc. Radio on WMFO at 8PM on Thanksgiving for my second-annual Christmas Shopping Eve salute to American Consumerism. Many of the tracks may be familiar to fans of the 365 Days Project, including "The Saturday Night Suit" and "McDonald's 1979 Flexidisc."
The show can be heard on the Medford side of Boston on 91.5FM. Fans elsewhere can visit the WMFO web site for a live audio stream of the broadcast. I'll post a link to the archived show once it's available.
